Book Review: Prince Caspian

As I continue to re-read through the The Chronicles of Narnia, I came to Prince Caspian.  This is the 4th book in the series (in storyline chronological order), and my least favorite.

Perhaps it was the lackluster movie, but I really don’t connect with this story as easily as the others.  I feel that device getting the children into and out of Narnia feels a bit rushed, especially considering  the gravity of what this particular journey means to the elder two Pevensey siblings.

Don’t misunderstand, this is still great story, well written, and full of Lewis’ brilliant prose, but it just lacks something to me, personally.  I highly recommend reading it…it IS a Narnian Tale after all…and we could all use some more magic in ALL of our lives!
