What You Think Will Become Your Reality

“What you think will become your reality.”

— Pat Williams

It’s rare that you get to be in the presence of true greatness.  There are several great politicians, celebrities and sports starts, but there are only a handful of Jordans, DeNiros, and Churchills.  But when you get to spend time learning from a TRUE person of greatness, it’s a life-changing event.

Recently I was blessed to be under the teaching of Pat Williams, basketball Hall-of-Famer, co-founder and senior vice president of the NBA’s Orlando Magic, and one of America’s top motivational speakers.

He was remarkable; full of energy and brimming with excitement for life.  It was contagious and inspiring.  But there was on specific question he asked that really made a tremendous impact on me.

You Are Awesome

You are awesome. No matter what anyone else says, thinks, or does…you are awesome.

Do you know that? Do you believe it?

You should.  Because if you don’t believe you are awesome, your clients never will.

You have to believe that you are awesome so that every phone call, chat, email, and text will be filled with you and your awesome-ness.  And when THAT happens, people will respond.

And they will respond to YOU, not the price, the service, or the product.  You.If you feel like you have something you need to learn to become MORE awesome, learn it.  But never forget…no matter what….

You. Are. Awesome.

Weekly Wrap-Up

It was a busy week for me…lots of projects.  But the really funny thing was, no matter how busy I was, I got up early enough to have my quiet time and plan my day out.  And I still got most everything done.  It’s amazing how prioritizing you day, and the BEGINNING of you day, can have a tremendous effect on the END of your day.

I am very excited about a new project that I am working on with my friend Lou Carfizzi.  It’s going to be an incredible help to lots of people.  It revolves around stress and even though we cannot eliminate it all together, we can manage it.  I will make an announcement soon.

I am also very excited about Thanksgiving this week.  What are you thankful for?  We will be inviting friends over who don’t have family close by and need a place to “be” on Thanksgiving.  If you are in Orlando and are looking for a GREAT dinner… contact me!

Have a GREAT week and remember to CHOOSE to be awesome.

10 Quotes About Mediocrity

Be fearful of Mediocrity - Jonathan Ellery

No one ever wakes up in the morning and says, “I want to be mediocre and have a mediocre day!” But so many of us allow our days to be full of mediocre thoughts, mediocre actions, mediocre planning, and mediocre relationships.

Why do you think that is?  What do you do to fight against a mediocre existence?

Here’s 10 Quotes to Help you Rise Above the Level of Mediocrity.

“The difference between greatness and mediocrity is often how an individual views a mistake.” - Nelson Boswell

“Mediocrity knows nothing higher than itself, but talent instantly recognizes genius.” - Arthur Conan Doyle

“We gain nothing by being with such as ourselves. We encourage one another in mediocrity. I am always longing to be with men more excellent than myself.” - Charles Lamb

“There is always a heavy demand for fresh mediocrity. In every generation the least cultivated taste has the largest appetite.” - Paul Gauguin

“The way that I am now, I don’t want to accept mediocrity. I don’t want to accept the easy road.” - Joe Nichols

“Mediocrity scares me. It’s the fear of not being as good as you want to be. If you give over to that fear, it will sabotage you. As much as I can, I try to use that fear to guide me.” - Chris Pine

“By and large, talent is in such short supply that mediocrity can be taken for brilliance rather more than genius can go undiscovered.” - Charles Saatchi

Failure is NOT an Option: The 5 Things You Gotta Know to Succeed

“If you can only sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet;
How important you can be to the people you may never even dream of.
– Fred Rogers

No one wants to fail.  We all strive to be successful in everything that we do: starting businesses, relationships, balancing the checkbook.  And it’s this desire to succeed that creates the day-to-day pressure that we all fight with and struggle.

Add to that the emotional struggles with isolation, self-worth, motivation, ego, pride, love.  Each day is a battle and failure is never an option.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.  What if I could guarantee your success?
