What an amazing day. So without any further adieu, on to the decompression!
- I’ve been feeling ill all week, so getting up early and heading to set up did not settle well with my system, but I felt better after my AM Monter (Low Carb)
- We started getting everything set up and Sarah brings me the lid to a box…where is the box? Good question…what was in the box? Extension cables, remotes, DVDs, CDs and a few other CHILDREN’S items…
- What person STEALS FROM A CHURCH? It happened to Gary Lamb a few weeks ago at Revolution, and now we got hit. This sucks! SID did a great job of pulling together enough stuff to do Kidzone well, but she was as mad as I was.
- AFTER I prayed for the thieves – Hey, I gotta practice what I preach…. We moved on.
- SID and I had 2 more amazing friends from Tampa visit StonePoint this weekend. We cannot get over when people come visit us in Atlanta. It’s humbling, and we realize how much we miss our family in Florida. Thanks guys, we miss you!!
- Scott, my pastor, brought a great sermon on Fearless Fighter, talking about David and Goliath. I hope that it inspired people to stand up and KNOW that God has their back and they can do ANYTHING that God TELLS them to do.
- I got an interesting comment from a Satanist, and I have been trying to figure out how to adequately respond. I began thinking of some things Scott said, and I may pass them along. Be watching for that soon.
- After church, SID and I got to take our friends to the “world famous” Taco Mac. Seriously, if you can go to a Taco Mac…Do so! Order some quesso and chips, sit back and enjoy the ride. We LOVE Taco Mac.
- We got home and crashed for about 45 minutes, then it was off to the StonePoint Baptism Celebration, where I got the distinct honor to baptize my wife. Sarah has been a Christian for a long time, but where she grew up, they did not baptizo (fully immerse), so she wanted to be baptized and I got to do it. Yes, there will be pictures, and probably some video ASAP. It was awesome!
- 2 other people were baptized as well. StonePoint has baptized more people in the last 2 years that I have seen in the previous 5 years. (Not a shot, I’m just sayin’)
- After baptism and a little “Dessert with the Pastor,” it was SWIMMIN’ TIME!!! I miss Doug and V’s pool…and the beach.
- When we finished our swim with Chuck and Kelly, SID and I headed over to Scott’s house to watch last Saturday’s UFC Live on Spike TV. It was great, I saw a guy ALMOST get his eye poked out. Yeah, C’mon!
- We got home around 11:00 to a VERY happy to see us, basset hound, and after I finish this…it’s off to bed.
- This week will be great, Batman (on Tuesday AM), some time with 2 different families, and helping out on Saturday with a back-to-school event for Coweta County. It will be AWESOME!!!
