If you have been following my blog or Twitter posts, you have noticed that I have mentioned a “Big Announcement” that was coming soon. And today, I can finally make that announcement.
Starting Monday, July 20, 2009, I will assume the responsibilities of Director of Ministry Operations for Church of the Suncoast. Lead Pastor Brian Moon and I have been in discussions and meetings for several weeks, and last week I was officially offered the position.
Sarah-Irene and I are very excited and looking forward to being a part of the Suncoast Team. It’s truly a great opportunity and I am looking forward to working with all of the teams and volunteers at Suncoast. I believe that their vision is SO huge and God has blessed them that I cannot wait to be a part of it.
Over these last few days, weeks, and months, I have had several old and new friends come along side of me and my wife. You have loved on, fed, led, prayed with, prayed for, tolerated, listened to, talked to, cried with, cried for, and basically just been the MOST amazing people in the world.
Sarah-Irene and I thank God for each and every one of you. Our prayer is that we will someday be able to repay each of you for your love and support.
A very special thanks go to Danny Schaffner and his team over at Common Ground Christian Church. I have been volunteering over there and Danny has poured himself into me and Sid and allowed me to serve as a leader. He has been a great friend and support. And I will always hold Danny, his team, and Common Ground very close to my heart.
So, that’s it. 10 months of being unemployed are over, and now I get to join an amazing ministry and go where God wants me!
