Book Review: Lead Like Jesus

I picked up the Lead Like Jesus audio book at the local library.  I was shocked that instead of being a reading of the book, it was the audio from the “Lead Like Jesus” seminar from 2004.  It was a little disappointing, but I have been richly blessed for listening to it, none the less.

Leaders Ken Blanchard, Bill Hybels, Rick Warren and others tell us how to model the leadership style of Jesus and to replicate it in the church AND secular workplaces.  Joining the venerable assemblage of leaders are several leaders from the business world.

The other speakers included Dan Cathy, President of Chick-fil-A, Laurie Beth Jones, author of Jesus CEO, Rosey Grier, legendary football star, Phil Hodges, co-author of The Servant Leader, William Pollard, Chairman Emeritus Service Master, Don Soderquist, Senior Vice Chairman of Wal-Mart, and James “Micky” Blackwell, former President and COO of Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems.

Their points were concise, incisive, and through provoking.  If you have ever been at a Willowcreek Leadership Summit, you’ve inevitably heard many of the thoughts from Hybels, Warren, and Blanchard.  but I would highly recommend you picking up Lead Like Jesus the book, or audio book.
