Church Talk, Pt. 2

Hector's_1

As I have talked about before, there is a disconnect with people and their churches that I think, is hurting the gospel of Jesus Christ. People do not invite their friends or family to their church like they do their favorite restaurant. So, I have to ask…WHY?

Hector’s (aka El Potrillo) is my favorite Mexican restaurant on the northside of Atlanta. I have NO PROBLEM telling everyone I know about Hector’s. In fact, friends of mine have driven from Florida, to dine at Hector’s.

When was the last time someone drove across the state to be at your church?

The reason I talk so much about Hector’s is because I realize that they are completely sold out to their product. They also have an abundant, serving staff. Hector’s is also known for using the best quality ingredients and they go out of their way to KNOW their customers personally.

For those of you who have never experienced Hector’s and their AMAZING burritos roquetta, I apologize about the about teasing photo.

They are completely sold out to their product.

Ask ANY member of the El Potrillo staff, and they will tell you that they are the best Mexican restaurant in Atlanta. And they are right (as far as I am concerned). Even with over 250 different Mexican restaurants in Atlanta, the El Potrillo staff believes that they are the best. They are sold out for their restaurant, they believe in it 100%.

If you need to be convinced that you need to share Jesus Christ with someone, you should REALLY check your salvation.

If you are working for a church and you cannot invite your friends or family to attend, you either need to check YOUR attitude, or QUIT today.

Jesus needs people who are passionate about His church and are willing to SACRIFICE for it. If you don’t fit into your “place of employment” find some place else to work. And before you start getting all upset, I was one of those “complaining” staffers, and I quit so the church could get on with what God called them to do.

If you have some attitude issues, you need to get some counseling or have a MAJOR heart-to-heart with your leadership.

I believe that local church is the hope of this lost and dying world. If you don’t have a church that you belong to, find one, get involved, and start serving God. There is no higher meaning to anyone’s life than serving Jesus Christ. It truly is an honor and a privilege.

So what’s keeping YOU from being sold out?
