  • AWESOME day at StonePoint today.
  • We had Christine Bell, one of our StonePointers, speak along with Scott today. She is heading to Honduras for 2 weeks on a mission trip. You MUST listen to the message today. Click HERE.
  • Set-up went smooth and quick today.
  • We started something new, First Look. It’s a time at 9:45 when ALL of our volunteers, band, tech, and Staff all get together, as a group, have quick devotional, get on the same page, and then pray together. It’s borrowed concept that we are making our own, and I believe the it will be amazing.
  • Our numbers were WAY up, it was good to have a fuller room and giving was way up!! God is working!
  • I am feeling MUCH more comfortable in my new role and I am connecting WITH people and connecting other people. It’s great. I love my job.
  • About 25 minutes before services started (about the time we ended the First Look, the bottom dropped out of the sky…I mean, it was raining so hard, I couldn’t see 5 feet outside the door.
  • Chuck Tripp is the man, he pulled ALL the umbrellas out and single-handedly walked everyone in from the rain. That guy is INSANE for StonePoint.
  • About 5 minutes AFTER service started, the rain stopped…and about 5 minutes before the service ended, the rain started back up…Who says God doesn’t have a sense of humor?
  • After church, Sarah and I dropped off the trailer and headed to….wait for it………Chinese. Oh yeah, it’s a good day when my wife asks for Chinese.
  • A little nap. Actually, a 2 hour nap. SID and I work hard and nap harder!
  • Dinner = leftover ribs. Eat THAT @GuitarGuy!
  • TNA has a Pay-Per-View tonight, I will ask my lovely bride if we can order it, and it will be martinis, wrestling, and stogy night!! God has truly blessed me.
  • This week will be awesome, I get to go to a Dave Ramsey luncheon on Wednesday and we have my first Baptism Celebration (my first at StonePoint) this coming Sunday, and I get the privilege of baptizing my wife. (FYI – SID has been a Christian for a long time, but she wanted to be baptized, since we, at StonePoint, follow Jesus in FULL IMMERSION baptism). I will probably cry.
  • We also have some friends coming up from Tampa to visit and I can’t wait to see them.
  • It’s also 1 month from the start of our Fall Semester of Home Teams, I am nervous and excited all at once. We look to have 5-6 Home Teams starting on August 17th. This is my first run at Home Teams (Small Groups) and I cannot wait to get them going.

Please keep checking back and please keep leaving COMMENTS. It’s always great to hear from you on what you like and don’t like. Also, let me know if there is anything I can write about, that you would be interested in.

I was just sending BACK an email from John. I didn’t mean to leave anyone off the list. I KNOW I have TONS of FAMILY in Tampa….Whom I miss terribly, but I am enjoying being in GA. I also am looking forward to visiting my adopted home (Tampa) very, very soon. By the way…I am still searching for jobs for the “udder” family….

Got something to say? Go for it!
