It’s been an AMAZING day (in BOTH senses of the word). It started well enough. Sarah and I got to church and started working in our respective areas. We got everything ready…and church was rocking! Afterwards, Sarah and I headed up to Marietta for a birthday party for one of our youngest cousins and some amazing home cooked Chinese. Then it was back in the car, and back to Newnan to play a church gig at my step-brother’s church…only they are not AT the church. You see this is one of those “1 church in 2 locations” type of deals…and SOMEHOW I missed the fact that I was supposed to be at the DOUGLASVILLE location. Luckily, they had ANOTHER drummer on location who could play for me and I had the evening off. Which included a nap, catching up on some TiVo’ed TV (Numbers, Battlestar Galactica, CSI Miami) and later TACO MAC!
So here is the scoop from today -
- We continued our Sex in the Suburbs series, talking about What Men Need. He did a great job dissecting a very difficult subject. It’s a tough job, and Scott is doing extremely well with the subject matter.
- @ 3:02 minutes of the message, “A man NEEDS sex….now let’s pray and go home!”
- “Single guys, that doesn’t mean that you can bang every woman that you come into contact with.”
- “Women, would YOUR husband rather be LOVED or RESPECTED?”
LOOKING AHEAD TO THIS WEEK:
- On Wednesday, Scott and I are heading up to Canton to have lunch with this guy and this guy. I can’t wait to meet them and pick their brains a little bit. I get totally pumped up when I read up on what’s happening at Revolution Church.
- I am looking ahead to my first All Staff Meeting at StonePoint. It should be fun and exciting. I am totally blessed here. I get to play real drums (really loud), I get to use my gifts and strengths, and I get to work with some awesome people!
- I’ll also be posting on Sarah and my’s trip to Savannah and Tybee Island.
There’s some other things in the pipeline, but I will share that with everyone in due time.
