Sunday Night Mind Dump
We finished up the Sex in the Suburbs today. Scott did a great job talking about running from temptation. We talked about Joseph, and how he handled sexual temptation. It was a great day, even though we had to move to our new home, Theater 1.
Next week, we start the One Prayer series. StonePoint will be joining with hundreds of churches all across the world as we pray One Prayer together. Scott will start on June 1, we’ll also have Craig Groeschel, Gary Lamb, Perry Noble speaking, and yours truly [me] finishing the month out. It will be challenging, amazing, and tons of fun!
Here is Sunday’s Mind Dump:
- We had to get there at 7:00 AM to set up earlier due a theater change. The theater where we meet started their summer schedule, so we had to move from their BIG theater, to a smaller one. I don’t mind too much, how many people can say that they had to move because of Indiana Jones?
- It was earlier, but great. We got everything set up and ready to go. I like the new set up.
- The band at StonePoint has been very gracious to me, their new drummer. I can’t remember having this much fun playing drums for a church. When the band says, “Can you play a little harder on the drums?” it’s going to be a GOOD DAY!
- Scott brought it on a difficult subject, and the church seemed to really handle the theater change and all the minor changes we had to make because of the move.
- After the church service we got torn down, packed up, and put up. All is well with the new theater.
- After a lunch Chinese buffet with my wife…a little nap with the wife and basset hound.
- Afterwards, a little blogging, little Nascar, a little dinner, and looking forward to an evening at home.
- Sarah is getting ready to spend a few days with her family at Disney, so if you see her, say ‘hello’!
- Monday, while Sarah travels, I’ll be with my dad and his family at a cook-out, Yeah C’mon!
