UNLEASH Detox
I have no idea if I will ever be able to properly express exactly how I feel and all that is running through my head from the UNLEASH Conference. I have a new love for Perry Noble. I will pray for him, his family, and his church. I pray that God uses him more that even he can dream.Spending time with my new staff was cool. I am very excited about the new job, it will be difficult heading back to Tampa tomorrow. But I still have a TON of work to do before Sarah and I leave.
I plan on spending some time detoxing from UNLEASH. Allow God to speak through some rest, talking to my wife, and just, well….thinking about stuff.
I think that the one thing that stuck immediately for me was this: when I am tired, when I am drained, when I have no more energy in the tank, when I WANT to give up…Perry reminded us to think back to the time when I was called into ministry, and let God fire me back up. Jesus never quit on me, so how can I quit on Him?
1 Corinthians 1:26-31
“Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”
There is so much more to this day, but that is some thing to chew on for a long while.
