Weekend Decompress (Late Ed.)
This weekend was very busy, but not very interesting. I spent a majority of my Friday AND my Saturday working on my side business (I will unveil it ASAP), so for most of the weekend, I was sitting in front of the computer, sweating bullets, and frustrated with my laptop.
However, Sunday was truly amazing. It was a long, awesome day!
SUNDAY
- 5:00 am came early (as usual) and I got ready, grabbed some breakfast, and drove over to the school, to start setting up Church of the Suncoast.
- After a little sweat and lots of bending, Suncoast got set up and humming right along.
- Brian did a great job of delivering the 2nd message on The Gospel. If you haven’t heard it, I would urge you to listen to it.
- This first service was FULL and AMAZING! You could feel the energy and I was reminded how blessed I was to be a part of the Suncoast.
- Some old friends from another church came to visit in the 2nd service. It was a little odd seeing them in my new setting, but I was humbled and glad to see them.
- After services, most of our tear down team disappeared…so the “few and the proud” tore the entire place down in about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- I raced over to catch lunch with my friends who visited and caught up with them…it was truly like old times.
- After, I headed home and grabbed a power nap. Sid had come home during my nap…and then…
- We headed over to a friends for some food, cigars, dinner, and pool time. Did I mention it was a heated pool…it was luxurious.
- Sid and I made our weekly, late night, Wal-Mart run, and then headed home.
- I think we were comatose about 1 hour after we got in the door.
- All in all, a great day.
