An evening with friends

Sarah and I had a great evening with some very good friends here in Tampa. I will truly miss them, but it was great to stop and unwind with people that we truly care about.

It’s really easy to be stuck on the “bad” stuff when you have to move: leaving friends and family, our first house, and Disney World, but it’s awesome to think about the future: new friends, new opportunities, new adventures. The one thing about ministry this is so difficult to reconcile, is that you are always in a state of flux. You are always moving and you never just stay still. If you did, you would wither and die.

So when you can take some time and really enjoy the people the God has brought into your life, you should take the time and be thankful for those moment, friends, and family.

When was the last time that you hung out with some friends and just enjoyed being together, no agenda, no expectations, no worries?
