Weekend Decompres (Late Ed.)
There isn’t much to discuss about this weekend, I was sick for most of it. But there were some very amazing things that, sick or not, I got to be a part of. So, with no further delay, let’s get on to the weekend decompress…
FRIDAY
- I came home early on Thursday with a cold. I had purchased some Nyquil…and used it.
- 19 hours later, I woke up on Friday morning…late.
- I felt better, but wasn’t 100%, so more meds and more sleep.
- Sid came home and cooked some dinner.
- We decided to go check up on Brian and the youth for the Suncoast Youth Movie Night.
- We caught the end of Paul Blart: Mall Cop…I don’t think we missed much.
- We drove home and I hit the meds and crawled back in bed.
SATURDAY
- Saturday morning came early and I had lots to do.
- I felt pretty well, and headed on down to Common Ground. It was their Backpack Attack day, 2009 backpacks plus health screenings and food boxes.
- It was CRAZY! Pics and vids to come.
- I finished the Media Shout stuff and headed home.
- After blogging, finished 2 projects, and getting ready for a couple more, I decided to catch a nap.
- I woke up and headed to Home Depot to fix a small project for Suncoast.
- Some X-Games, NASCAR, and reading, and it was off to clean the kitchen for my lovely bride.
- I was half asleep when Sid came home, we talked about a major opportunity in our lives, and then we turned out the lights, and called it a day.
- Except, I didn’t go to sleep…I was awake and NOT going to sleep. I tossed and turned for most of the evening.
- I got out of bed and wrote a few things out and did some praying, and then crawled back into bed.
- I finally passed out around 4:10 am.
SUNDAY
- And the alarm when off at 5:00…I love my new job, but Sunday mornings are ROUGH!
- I got up, grabbed a shower, got dressed, loaded the truck and headed to L-O-L for some Suncoast.
- I was jakked about this Sunday. I had some plans to start recruiting team members AND we were starting a new series…launching with AC/DC’s Highway to Hell as an opener.
- You read that right…just sit on that for a while.
- It was awesome. Brian brought the Gospel heat and God did some amazing things.
- I did my recruiting, met some new friends, and even enabled some team work to happen. All in all, it was a GREAT Sunday.
- We got the church torn down and I headed home.
- Sid and I had appointments for 1-hour massages, a celebration of new job/paycheck/house out of foreclosure.
- We made a promise that when those things happened, we would make appointments for massages…and they…were….a….mazing….!!!!
- When we finished, we decided to drop by BJ’s to browse and plan for a future shopping day.
- We were both getting hungry, so we decided to head to Barnacle’s, one of our favorite local haunts.
- We had a great dinner and then went home.
- After letting the dogs out, we headed to bed for the night.
- At about 2:00 AM, I woke up sick…like puking my guts out sick.
- I didn’t sleep much and I felt horrible.
- But in the AM, I felt much better.
