Sunday Night Decompress

  • Last night, Saturday, I got to watch the UFC 94 Pay per view on line for free, it was amazing.  I am not a certified Georges St. Pierre fan, he DISMANTLED BJ Penn and made him cry.  It was awesome – all the fights were solid and very, very entertaining.
  • I love Super Bowl Sunday – and I am not afraid to admit it.
  • Sid and I got up and had a devotional and breakfast and then got ready for church.
  • We drove over to New Walk, in Zephyrhills, and it was awesome.  I cannot sing these guy’s praises enough.  God is truly working through them and I can never repay them for all that they have done for Sid and myself.
  • After church, we had to make a Wally World run and get a few things – we had some plans, and then they got changed.
  • So we got some tid bits for the evening – good thing too, we had some people SHOW up that we were not sure/didn’t know were coming…Good Times
  • Anyway, we cleaned the house, and got ready- we cooked some wings and brats, just a bunch of stuff we had around and we KNEW we would have some leftovers.
  • We had a friend who didn’t have anything going come over, and then another person showed up, and then a couple more dropped in…apparently we “mentioned” a party…and forgot about it.
  • We spent the evening watching the Super Bowl and rooting for Pittsburgh, a few friends and good food.
  • Sarah even ran some cable out to the garage and I watched the game while I grilled.
  • Great time with friends, this is why we moved back to Florida.
  • And I am SO happy Pittsburgh won!!  And I cannot believe I just typed that.

WEEKLY LOOK AHEAD

  • The job hunt continues.
  • This week I have no real plans, if I were working, it would be a “down” week.
  • The Daytona 500 is this Sunday, so I am really excited about NASCAR coming back.

Bacon Explosion

Let me jusy say that I have not yet tried the bacon explosion, however, I have tried the Bacon Lattice, which is the outer layer of the Bacon Explosion.  Our buddies over at BBQAddicts.com introduced the web to the Bacon Explosion.  The above video is from their local news affiliate, but they were on Fox Morning News this past Friday.

But what is REALLY exciting, is the BBQ Adicts are coming to Tampa on Sunday!  Yep, Sid and I may be able to tailgate with savory, barbecue, bacon-y goodness on Sunday!

Seriously through, the cool factor about the Bacon Explosion is that this is one of  first major examples of how Twitter is affecting communication and pop culture.
