It’s 3:00AM. I have bouts of insomnia sometimes, and tonight is one of those nights. SID is struggling to be comfortable, and who could blame her? She just had a 4 inch cut into her back and chuck of her spine cut off and some of her disk take out. Not really comfortable is it?
Anyway, I am trying (desperately) to remain optimistic about our situation. I have been in talks with some people in Tampa, and they are very interested in talking to be about a job. That is a miracle in and of itself. In this economy, anyway.
Sarah and I are about to move BACK to Florida and both of us are hitting the job market (again). And we are woefully broke. We are several house and truck payments behind and very little coming in to the back. So that where I find myself. on this cold, cold Georgia evening.
I know that God is in control and that He has a plan for Sid and myself. I know that He didn’t bring us up here for nothing, and it is within His power to do a miracle. And that is the only reason that I am not going insane.
I ask this, if you would, please, say a pray for Sarah and me. Just pray that God does what God does best, take care of His children. I am not praying for money to come flowing in from winning a lottery (although, that would rock). But I am asking that God provides. Simply provides.
Matthew 6:25-34 says,
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
