First of all, thank you so much for the calls and emails, and flowers. It means a lot that we have friends that would go out of your way to care for us. Sarah is feeling fine, which is another way of saying she feels like CRAP. Her back hurts and she’s uncomfortable and a little miserable. The good news is we both know that the pain she is experiencing now will pay off in NO more back pain for the future.
She did really well in surgery and in the room. She got some rest and everyone is very happy with her prognosis. I, on the other hand, didn’t do so hot. I was up from 5:00 AM Thursday to 8:30 AM Friday, so I am in need of some sleep, but I am very happy top have Sarah home and in 1 less piece! (She had a disctectomy)
We brought her home at around 4 this afternoon and she is in bed, with her cat and lots and lots of GOOD pain medicine. So, for the next 2 weeks, she will be a kept woman…kept in the bed, that is. She needs assistance shifting and going to the restroom, and someone needs to cook, so just call me Alice for the next few days. (Yes, a Brady Bunch reference…) As soon as I get a picture of her scar, I’ll put it online. Yeah, I know, sick….
- Please pray that SID recovers quickly and as painlessly as possible.
- Also pray that the next 2 weeks goes quickly and easily.
- Please pray for our finances and for the upcoming move back home to Wesley Chapel.
