We left Tampa a lot later than we had really wanted to, but when it was all said and done, we were on the road to Key West, FL…sorta.  We had to make a pit stop (or two) in Orlando to drop some gear and then also pick up some supplies for the week. Our  stop was in Celebration…nice, very close to Disney, but no ride in store for us.  And then a stop at Sam’s Club for food and drinks (for the hotel room, not for lunch).  And then we were off…

I think I fell asleep about an hour in and woke up just north of Ft. Lauderdale.  We made another stop for gas and dinner and then continued on.  Night was falling as we crossed from main land to the roads that jumped from island to island until we hit the Keys!  Once we arrived, we had a hotel crisis…we didn’t have rooms until TOMORROW, so we had to figure out who was sleeping were.  Once that crisis was solved…

….  And then we came home and crashed.  All in all, a GREAT first day!

If you are a fan of Walt Disney World, you need to listen to the Audio Guide to Walt Disney World – Main Street, USA, it’s one of the finest audio guides I’ve ever listened to, and a great resource to learn more about Magic Kingdom and the magic that is Walt Disney World.

What sets this Audio Guide apart from other books or audio guides, is the amazing amount of information and special details that Lou has added.  For example, when you “walk” over to the Barber Shop and Lou talks about the Dapper Dans barbershop quartet, you can actually hear them singing in the background.  For someone who loves the Magic Kingdom, but can’t actually be inside the park, this is the next best thing!

Lou’s love for Disney permeates the entire Audio Guide. Not only is he the creator of the Audio Guides for Main Street, USA, but also Audio Guides for Fantasyland and Adventureland. I cannot recommend the Audio Guide to Walt Disney World – Main Street, USA highly enough.  It’s a great resource and an amazing listening experience. For the true fans of Disney World, this is a MUST listen!
