Thank you.

FRIDAY

I got some AMAZING news on Thursday that I cannot share with you all yet, but wen I get the GREEN LIGHT, I’ll be sharing some amazing news on how God has been moving in my life.

It was a pretty lazy Friday: some very light house cleaning and laundry

I got to go to lunch with Sid and we went to the Suzuki/Yamaha Motorcycle dealer and just dreamed for a while. We have almost forgotten how to do that in the last few weeks and months.

Sid looks HOT on a motorcycle…

She’s been struggling with a work issue and even in the secular world, John Maxwell’s words ring true: “Everything rises and falls on LEADERSHIP.”

After lunch, I dropped by the local library to pick up a couple of books and an audio book for listening to on the road…Good stuff, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea…

Sid got to come home early, and some friends (Dave and Michelle) called us, and invited us to dinner…which is always a treat, because Dave ROCKS a grill.

It’s also funny because they just recently god Cable TV, and now THEY are as hooked on Food Network as Sid and I are. Poetic Justice.

After a fun night with our friends, Sid and I came home a crashed hard…it’s been a wild few days for us.

SATURDAY

7:30 came really early. Sid went to work and I drove down to Common Ground to take care of their video needs for the weekend.

It’s going to be a great service. Danny is talking about Terminator: Salvation focusing on ‘Heroes’.

I also did a new countdown video. You should check it out, nothing fancy, but I love Blue Man Group.

After I finished there, I came home, grabbed a little lunch, and then watched a couple of movies…NICE.

I watched about 3 movies online and on TV, a VERY relaxing day for a movie geek like myself.

Sid came home and then decompressed and we headed to bed.

SUNDAY

It’s FATHERS DAY, which has traditionally been a difficult holiday for me. My dad and I have worked out our “stuff”, but it’s still a hard holiday for me.

I got up and headed in to Common Ground (after Sid made me breakfast and wished me a Happy Father’s Day).

When I got there, I was welcomed by 2 truck loads of missions kids, who had arrived the day before. they were getting dressed and getting ready for church.

I was the drummer today and I had a great time playing some older and newer worship songs. Steve Cardwell led, and did a great job.

Schaffner did hkis usual great message on Heroes and Can One Man Make a Difference, you should listen to it.

After church, I made my list of phone calls and picked up some House Fried Rice as a Father’s Day treat and headed home.

About an hour later, I was dead asleep, until Sid came home.

We napped for a couple of hours and then headed to our Sunday Wal-Mart run….

She got some odd news about her DAY job, and she has the day off tomorrow…So, we may be headed to the beach, the Harley Store, and Shannon’s…Good Times!

We picked up some food for the week and some dinner for the night.

We got home, put it all away, ate dinner and watched some DVR.

I am looking forward to spending the day with Sid tomorrow!

WEEKLY LOOK AHEAD

Monday is going to be a fun day with Sid. I’m waiting to hear back from a prospective job, more to come later this week.

Tuesday is back to regular Staff Meetings at Common Ground and they are doing a Servant Evangelism Event that evening. We’re giving out COLD water to people in a few parks, and with the 101 and 108 weather lately in Tampa…that comes at a GREAT time!

Wednesday – TRANSFORMERS….’nuff said.

Thursday Sid and I are meeting an old friend of hers and his family over at Downtown Disney for dinner at T-Rex. My first time eating there, but I am SO looking forward to being close to Disney World.

Friday, I am driving over to spend the day with an old friend of mine in Orlando. He taught me everything I know about video editing and we never get to spend that much time together. Should be fun.

This coming weekend looks to be a pretty normal, low-key, event. Nothing major planned, but always looking to get into something!

Common Ground is talking about Land of the Lost and redemption. Crappy movie…but it will be a GREAT teaching!
