As you can tell, we’ve updated/changed/overhauled JOHNCDONAHUE.COM. And I am sure that it will probably change again, often. But this is a theme that I really like. I dig the “Polaroids” up top, and it’s very easy to change/adjust. The only real problem I have with it, is when I have to input CODE. I am decent at HTML, but I full on suck at CSS. I have learned a few tricks, but I just can’t really flourish.
It’s a lot like our spiritual lives… We’re ALWAYS a work in progress. I can have an awesome day on Monday, and by Thursday, I am in the DUMPS! I can be flying high on Friday, and Sunday I am drained. I can be as close to God as I have ever been on Wednesday, and come Thursday afternoon, I can be cussing like a sailor. But God constantly reminds us to be better TODAY than YESTERDAY. We’re a work in progress…we will never be completed until we get to heaven.
Being a Christian, living a lifestyle the way God prescribes is, in and of itself, progressive. It’s the process that wears away the rough edges and conforms us into the image of Jesus. But, just like CSS code, it takes some extra work, learning a few “tips” along the way to get by until you LEARN it. It does take time, and it can be frustrating, but it’s life’s GREATEST endeavor. It’s a roller coaster, it’s humbling, and it’s always a work in progress.
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
