Are YOU in the dark?
I am…completely and utterly in the dark, and I am loving every minute of it. I was over at You Version this morning and read Acts 20. Something popped out at me and I clicked over to this blog. i was blown away. Rob put his finger directly on where I am right now! Paul’s words ring true for me right now,
“But there is another urgency before me now. I feel compelled to go to Jerusalem. I’m completely in the dark about what will happen when I get there. I do know that it won’t be any picnic, for the Holy Spirit has let me know repeatedly and clearly that there are hard times and imprisonment ahead. But that matters little. What matters most to me is to finish what God started: the job the Master Jesus gave me of letting everyone I meet know all about this incredibly extravagant generosity of God.” (Acts 20:22-24, MSG)
God has brought me back to Georgia, I have left my house, my friends, and my life in Florida. I have come to a new church that has no guarantees for me or for Sarah. I am in completely uncharted waters as I am in a new position. I MUST COMPLETLY rely on God, because I cannot complete my task without Him. I am completely in the dark and that is exactly where I want to be.
Absolutely amazing!! You and I are Kin some how. Three parallels:1)J.S. and praise team recently talking about letting go and letting God, Completely relying on His Grace to guide us in our vocations and leading. 2)Rob’s post was great, check out his posts on the love chapter, Freeze is teaching on it this weekend. 3)At Men’s bible study this morning I was talking about how The Word is living and the whole human experience with what we get from it and you find You Version. How does that happen? Never mind I know……Fat Peas.
I think God likes to sit back and watch me squirm when things are out of my control. Perhaps he’s smiling now….hmmmm.
