Sunday Night Decompress
- First of all – kudos to me for getting the Decompress up ON SUNDAY night!
- Today was WILD
- My Dad and Step-Brother we in, we had a death in the family in Lakeland, FL, which is about 45 minutes from my house, so Pop and Matt stayed over last night – fun.
- We got up EARLY so Dad and Matt could get on the road as early as possible and Sid could get to work on time.
- We TOTALLY made all these plans BEFORE we realized that it was time change Sunday and we lost an hour of sleep, but decided to tough it out anyway.
- So, 7:00 came, Sid grabbed a shower, I woke Dad and Matt up, and as I let the dogs out, my little son Harley (beagle) ran out the door, NOT on his run.
- So off Sid, Molly, and I went to track him down.
- 15 minutes later -p we are reunited as one happy family -one of us was EXTREMELY out of breath, and stinky!
- After we got everyone settle and secured….we headed to Cracker Barrel for some breakfast.
- It was grits, pancakes, and lots of coffee ALL around.
- Sid headed to work, Dad headed to GA and I headed back to the house to “head back to bed”… or so I thought.
- Everything went OK – I checked email, who won last night’s UFC, and started to look for resources for Acts 2 and my blog.
- Next thing I knew, it was 1:30…WHAT? Sid comes home in 2 hours..crap!
- So, I got up, hooked the laptop up in front of the TV, turned on Nascar and waited for my lovely bride to return.
- She got home before 4:00 and we FINALLY hit the bed for a little nap.
- We woke up at 6:00 and headed to our Date night.
- A little supply recon at Beale’s Outlet ($7 shoes and some make-up for Sid), picked up some Chinese, and headed to the Brass Tap for a couple of beers.
- It was awesome, we finished out food and drinks, came home, Sid hit the shower, and I am blogging.
- We’re going to do our devotional and call it a night!
- Great day, awesome weekend, and God moving!
WEEKLY LOOK-AHEAD
- Heading to Orlando, FL with Dave Ness tomorrow to help him out and spend some time with one of the other leaders of Acts 2 Church.
- Tuesday is Inc, Tampa – so get to spend some time with some of the MOST amazing church guys in the world.
- The rest of this week is pretty light, but this weekend is packed:
- WE have a rehearsal on Friday and gig on Saturday with Island Breeze. A good friend of mine is getting married, and I get to play her reception!
- We will probably have to cancel Acts 2 this weekend, most everyone has a job at the wedding, so we’ll be serving all weekend!
- The job search continues and the house drama also continues, but we have some really exciting news, that I will be able to share after a few important phone calls on Monday!
