Sunday Night Mind Dump
Wow, what a DAY. I cannot tell you all the emotions that I have had today…It’s had some lows and some amazing highs…so, let’s get to dumping…
- Why does 6:00AM come so early?
- I found out that I needed to pick up the trailer…I was only 15 minutes later, but Sarah hitched it and I parked it
- We have some new volunteers and they BEAT me and Jon to set up this morning. I LOVE these guys.
- They got the worship area done, I put the Cafe, Resource Table, all the curtains up, and even helped a little with the Children’s Area.
- People started showing up and I changed and got ready to meet and greet.
- Services started off GREAT, the band rocked and everything worked AWESOME. Scott was out and we were continuing with ONE PRAYER, so all I had to do was Welcome, Pray, and Set up Gary Lamb...
- ..and then the video crapped out…so I had to preach.
- I spoke for 15 minutes on being Revolutionary, out of Matthew 28. I said that Jesus gave us the Authority, Responsibility, and the Accountability…so it was our CALL to GO.
- We had 2 rededications and a salvation. Thank you GOD…I needed that.
- After services, we packed it all up, I offloaded the trailer, hit up Long John Silvers for lunch…and then..a NAP.
- Later, Sarah took Molly for a little Dog Wash…my baby smells GOOD, and so does Molly!
- I took my lovely bride out to Chinese for dinner and then…
- We both come in to the office to work for 4 hours. You see, we worked all weekend and did not really take a Sabbath, so Scott is letting she and I take Monday off.
- I am looking ahead to this coming weekend. I have some FRIENDS from FLORIDA who are coming up and visiting. I am speaking next weekend at STONEPOINT and they wanted to come up.
- I would also like to invite you to check out IWant2Change.com, it’s StonePoint’s blog and I have been contributing a lot. I think that you may enjoy seeing that as well.
This weekend I witnessed God using a broken vessel (me) to do amazing things. We had 2 people rededicate themselves to Jesus Christ and 1 person accept Jesus as their Savior. I pray that you get to experience that thrill of watching God work. It is a privilege and a blessing to be here at STONEPOINT.
This has been one of the hardest weeks of my life. Sarah got some bad news on Thursday and I heard some bad Tax news from the IRS. I could not have been in any worse shape before this morning’s service. And when the band played David Crowder’s “O Praise Him,” I just gave it all up and let God do His thing. It came down to this question, and it’s one I ask YOU right now.
Do YOU REALLY believe all the “Jesus” speak that you use, or, when the crap hits the fan, do you crumble under the pressure?
I found out, that deep down, I struggled, yelled at God, got it all out, and fell back into His arms, and Him have total control. I pray that you do the same.
